What You'll Do
As a Faculty Instructor, you'll prepare students to become competent, confident Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) by providing engaging classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction.
Responsibilities include:
- Teach theory, laboratory skills, and/or clinical instruction
- Prepare students for the California CNA certification examination
- Mentor and encourage transitional age youth and adult learners from diverse backgrounds
- Evaluate student competency and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain attendance and required documentation
- Foster a positive, professional learning environment
- Work collaboratively with the RN Program Director and instructional team
- Ensure compliance with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) requirements
Qualifications
RN Applicants
- Active California RN license
- Minimum two years of nursing experience
- Meets California CDPH instructor qualifications
- Passion for education and mentorship
LVN Applicants
- Active California LVN license
- Minimum two years of nursing experience
- Meets California CDPH instructor qualifications
- Experience supervising CNAs preferred
Teaching experience is welcome but not required.
